Quality Notifications

Quality notification can be used in order to register defects and to determine and monitor various actions in order to correct/solve these defects. A quality notification can be initiated by the quality inspection functionally; however, it is also possible to use the quality notification functionality stand-alone.

It is possible to create several kinds of notifications;

  1. Vendor notifications
    • Created based on inbound inspections or created manually
  2. Customer notification
    • Created due to customer complaint
  3. Internal notifications
    • Created during internal inspection or manually
  4. Other notifications
    • These notifications are not related to inspections, however provide the ability to facilitate system driven processes. For example, create a process to maintain master data.

The notifications functionality within SAP is highly flexible, it provides the opportunity to include your own requirements.
